How to Fix the Tube (Base C) to the Ground |
| |
1. |
Dig a hole in the ground with the following dimensions:
- 2 ft deep
- 2 ft wide
- 2 ft long
|
|
| |
2. |
The female receiving tube must be tied to # 3 (at least) x 24” reinforcement bars which are to be placed 6” on-center both horizontally and vertically ( If you do not understand the terminology, then you will need help with this footing). Also ensure that:
- the upper part of the female tube section is flush with the ground
- that the female tube section is at exactly at right angles with the ground (plumb and level)
- that the female tube section interior is clean
|
|
| |
3. |
Pour concrete into the hole, ensuring to leave enough room for your finished flooring. If on sod, then backfill with dirt. Concrete slurry must be kept from getting into female receiving tube. |
|
| |
4. |
Insert the bottom of the double male tube section into the female, ensuring that the screw at the base of the female section fully locks into the male connection slot. |
|
| |
5. |
Insert the umbrella into the top of the double male tube section and tighten the umbrella fixing screws. |
|
| |
6. |
Use the cover when the umbrella and double male tube section are removed. |
